Duck wraps off the grill, plus snow crab clusters, boiled shrimp and some steamed clams, with clarified butter. Fresh corn from the microwave to finish.

My wife sprang an impromptu dinner party on me this morning (dinner party = me doing all the cooking). Tomahawk ribeyes, roasted asparagus with lemon vinaigrette, chard gratin, pan roasted mushrooms. It was absolute in the weeds pandemonium. fricking kids were playing in the yard and squirted me with a hose as I was cutting herbs, a pot holder caught fire as I was cooking, and shite was dripping on a burner from the warming shelf as I was finishing up while my wife was giving our guests a tour of the house....it was fricking mass hysteria!!!!!!

Wines were Lieu Dit Sauvignon Blanc, 1996 Ridge Montebello, 89 La Conseillante, all of which were wonderful. Now errybody gone, I'm watching Columbo and drinking some Amaro. frick I'm tired.

Grilled porkchops stuffed with spinach Madeline from Joey''s in Lafayette. Left Mecca 6 that Oct. morn and all was well. Got back 9 that night and had to borrow friend's freezer cause tornado at noon knocked power out 3 days. Otis volunteered his freezer but found closer one till I got around to spring grilling.

Wfd was the Ancho ribeye at La Boca. I'm normally a big fan but this was not good at all.
