So do most of the folks on this board, bro. I purge them, soak them and cook them. I almost have enough for another boiling.

Tilapia are prized on fish farms because they eat the shite out of the bottom of the ponds from other fish.

yea, that must contaminate the meat right? I'm not proud of eating it, but it tasted pretty good and I eat a lot of high quality Louisiana seafood. It's a notch above catfish who also eat shite off the bottom of ponds. Pigs eat shite too and canabalize each other but I'm not going to stop eating pork. Hell they even roll around in their own shite, yet I still eat cracklins.

I'm with you on the tilapia, but they don't taste bad. And they are great for fish tacos. I try not to eat it though.

Good enough. I don't come here to argue.

Eat tilapia. I don't really give a damn.

I rarely buy fish. Catfish is a cheap alternative.

I didn't mean to post that. Tilapia is awesome especially how you cook it. I bet it's outstanding.

I can be particular about fish. I prefer Salmon or Tuna because I like a smooth(?) fish rather than a flaky white fish.

The few white fishes I've ever liked were in $$$$ restaurants, so probably not anything I can afford or execute well at home (Chilean Sea Bass.. Swordfish.. etc.)

I hated fish for years. Only started to like some this past year. I like something I can keep mostly raw with just a sear. Tilapia makes me think of people putting fish in the oven, which I don't like. I may have just had tilapia prepared incorrectly ..
