re: BCBS Infected Barleywine

Pretty sure I'm going to drink them anyway. Want to do a vertical 2013 through 2016 and don't feel like trying to find an uninfected bottle. Might just pour them all into one big pitcher to minimize the infection....

BCBS Infected Barleywine

Posted by rlore2 on 11/3/16 at 11:28 am
So I put off checking my stored bottles of BCBS long enough and have found that all of my bottles of the stout are infected and to top it off the deadline for refunds is past. I also have two bottles of barleywine but can't seem to find the infected dates for those. Can someone help me out and con...

Local pour had a decent selection last time I was in the Woodlands....
A supplement called Foresterol plus a good diet and regular exercise got me off my statins I had been taking for the past ten years or so. My levels are still higher than traditional medicine would list as acceptable but as others have said high overall numbers aren't the red flags they once here. ...

Lola in Covington has a solid one for dinner. Don't think they have it for lunch service though....
Need some help from the W/B/S experts. Has anyone heard anything about a tasting set of Jefferson's Ridiculously Small Batch Bourbon? It's five 200 ml bottles that are all aged in experimental barrels. Local place called and asked if I was interested but I can't find anything on whether or not it's...

Definitely not your standard red gravy Italian place but I thought AVO was great....
Yeah not a great price on shipping but I missed this bottle last year and it's still under secondary with shipping. Hope it's worth it....
Heads up to anyone interested. Master of Malt has Four Roses Small Batch Ltd 2014 in stock....
Appreciate the help guys. SAOS 10 it is....
Need some help from the WBS crew. Went into a store i hadn't been in a while and snagged a Bowman 2013 Gingerbread Beer bottle. Anyone have any reviews on this? I know it's a 2013 release but haven't heard much on it. They also had three other bottles i was eyeing up. One was a Smooth Ambler Old Sco...

Dining/Bar Recs Rio de Janeiro

Posted by rlore2 on 10/21/15 at 10:43 am
Heading to Rio next week for work and was looking for help finding any good restaurants or bars. Staying in Copacabana but wouldn't mind going to Ipanema or Leblon for a decent night out. Any kind of food as I'm not picky and price isn't too big of a determining factor. Thanks for any help ...
Engal is the first company I've sen that has a soft back pack cooler. Yeti has the Hopper but $300 for a soft walled cooler is way too much. Just need it for golf or tailgating. Typical ones you see leak way too much. Does anyone have any other recs for the soft sided bags? ...

Palmetto's is a solid choice as well....
Lot's of good choices on the north shore. Lola, Ox Lot 9, Del Porto, La Provence, Palmetto's and Nathan's come to mind first....
Went there last weekend for brunch. All the food was great but the service was pretty bad. Ordered two black coffee's that took about 15 minutes to get to our table and one drink from the bar that showed up as our entrees came out. I'm sure that will improve though. Even if the service stayed as ba...
Ran across some 750ml's of Makers Mark Cask Strength yesterday at my local shop. Had about 7 on the shelf at $52.00 ea. Initial offering was 350ml at nearly $35 so why are the offering double the whiskey for less than double the price? This bottles proof is around 111 I believe. Was the previous bo...
