re: Willa Jean in the South Market District - rlore2
Went there last weekend for brunch. All the food was great but the service was pretty bad. Ordered two black coffee's that took about 15 minutes to get to our table and one drink from the bar that showed up as our entrees came out. I'm sure that will improve though. Even if the service stayed as ba...

re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - rlore2
Ran across some 750ml's of Makers Mark Cask Strength yesterday at my local shop. Had about 7 on the shelf at $52.00 ea. Initial offering was 350ml at nearly $35 so why are the offering double the whiskey for less than double the price? This bottles proof is around 111 I believe. Was the previous bo...

Been wanting to get some Ten Fidy and completely forgot about it. It's going to be a good Mardi Gras with this list. Hopefully he can find most of it. Also asked him to grab a couple Jester Kings varieties if he can find them. Anything missing? 1-Yellow Rose – Lone Pint Brewery 2-Sculpin IPA Wi...

Forgot about Great Divide Ballast Point. What are some standard offerings that won't be too hard to find? Don't want my buddy chasing down hard to get beers. Favorite styles are stouts, porters, IPA's and saison/farmhouse. Appreciate all the help ...

As far a I know Firestone isn't available down here. I've had the DBA and Union Jack while in CA last year. I always forget about them though thanks. Also been hearing good stuff about Yellow Rose so that will be on the list ...

Looking to find something different for a party like Goose Island (Sofie/Matilda/Juliet etc.). Any places able to get that or is it just typically allocated for bars/restaurants?...

Seems like Lafayette is getting more than New Orleans on the whiskey front lately. Heard pretty good things on Lost Prophet so far though. How much was retail if you don't mind sharing?...

re: Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch appreciation thread - rlore2
Had to open the High West first. I've been pretty excited to try it. Some people I've asked compared it to AE Rye but it's no where near as sweet. Really good blend and dangerously easy to drink. ...
