I like chopped sweet pickles or relish. Mustard. Mayo. Chopped onion sometimes.

A good tuna fish sandwich is an under appreciated treasure.

Same, minus mustard in the tuna mix and add hard boiled egg. However, every now and then I will add it to the bread.

Lettuce & tomato
Add sliced bacon on occasion

suggestions:

boiled egg, particularly yolks
Old Bay seasoning
pulverized celery
grated white or red onion
hummus
mayo
mustard, sparingly
wasabi or Chinese mustard, sparingly

BTW, did you know that Chinese mustard is just ground mustard mixed with water?

On top of what everyone else suggested try a squeeze of fresh lemon. Sometimes I use fine chopped pickled japs instead or in addition to relish. Also can grate a stick of celery in there, no hunks

I find that olives go very well in tuna, so I add a couple of tablespoons of Italian olive salad, drained, with boiled eggs and mayo. Chopped red onion too.

My colleague makes it with Italian dressing and a surfeit of chopped vegetables like, red & yellow bell pepper, onion, cucumber, celery, green onion, tomato, parsley, capers, dill pickle, olives, and radish.

It seems really weird because I'm accustomed to the more traditional mayonnaise based tuna salad but, I'll be damned if it ain't a tasty alternative.

I make mine with:
Kewpie mayonnaise
Boiled eggs
Bread & Butter pickle relish
Worcestershire sauce
Tabasco Sauce
Green Onions
Celery
Salt
Pepper

I like some mayo, something crunchy and savory: chopped celery or shallot, a little relish, some Tony's or cayenne and S&P, maybe some chopped apple but always some chopped pecans.

After swimming a tuna fish sandwich is great after smoking a bowl.

Tuna Nicoise

Tuna salad
Tapenade
Hard boiled eggs
Red pepper aioli
Lettuce
Tomato

Yeah it’s involved, but it’s so damn good.

I like a fruit and nut tuna salad: Mayo or Greek yogurt plus chopped apple, sliced almonds or chopped pecans, dill relish, a hefty shake of your favorite cajun seasoning. It’s sweet/salty/savory.

Or, use tahini ans lemon juice to make a quick dressing and add olives and sprinkle with za’atar.

Runner up is to mix it with a can of drained, rinsed cannelloni beams….dress with an herby vinaigrette.

So true.

The only thing we put in ours is chopped boiled egg, chopped dill pickles and mayo.

I love a good tuna sandwich with sliced fresh tomatoes on it.

Surprisingly, the dollar a bottle Kraft BBQ Sauce, Original, is good on canned/pouch tuna.

I'd never try it on "real" tuna of course but have on the cheap stuff. Haven't tried the other flavors of Kraft either.
