The Office in Torrance, CA

As far as I know they only serve beer. It's all domestic with one heff but the people in there are all old and trashy

I used to stay in a hotel next to it

I'd drop in on occasion because it was in walking distance and I liked talking smack with the old white trash crowd

I used to shoot pool at Melius in Bucktown. It was a block from my buddy's place, the beer was cheap, and the pool tables were acceptable. It was pretty trashy. But everyone was really nice.

Snake and Jake's isn't "trashy" per se but it is the strangest place I have ever been to.

Maybe in South LA. But for real despair ...beyond the Misery and Gin kind, try just about any bar in Watertown, NY. I spent a month up there one evening while waiting for my brother to get off duty at Ft. Drum....dreary place even in the summer.
