That's probably true. But back in the late 90's, it had the trashiest, most disgusting, cracked out, tatted up, chain smoking, regulars you'd find anywhere in the metro area.

I haven't been in close to 20 years.

it takes a special kind of person to be a regular there, that's for sure. Snakes has become so well known through tv and the internet these days that the crowd is much more tame. It's a lot of students there now mixed with the more offbeat crowd.

That is correct

It's funny to me because you'll have regular people mixed in with all the trash

And the later you stay the trashier it gets

Used to be a bar in Bush, La (St. Tammany Parish) called Dave's Place. That's the one I nominate.

It's close, but probably the Candle Light Inn in WBR.

Runners up:

Moms Bar
Corner Bar
The Red Barn
Bonnies

They are trashy as hell, but I used to love those places.

Others in Metairie that I've frequented in the past

Triple Play
Causeway Grill

The places themselves aren't necessarily trashy but some of the people that stumble in there are something else

Ever been to Lou & Bob's? Another good candidate.

That's another good one. We didn't make it out that far very often though.

My initial offering would be The Clermont Lounge. But, once I was able to come to my senses after witnessing the wretched horrors in there, I noticed the clientele was fairly decent for the most part. Killer DJ as well.

We stopped off at some shite bar around Des Allemands after fishing in Cocodrie. Holy frick that was the biggest assembly of trash and jerkoffs. Bikers, ugly whores, guys in shrimp boots, the bartender had a glass eye. Very odd to say the least. We didn't stay too long.

ETA: Fran's Eastside Tavern in Nashville is up there. At times, it can feel like you're in the set of a Rob Zombie movie. However, they do offer karaoke there and if you get a big group to go, it can actually be a pretty fun time.

Here's a picture of the quaint, picturesque bar nestled up in East Nashville:

Here's a picture of Fran. Very nice. Averages a pack of Marlboro Reds an hour.

Here's another picture of the sweet young 'un, bartender, Katrina. She's behind the kitchen...ehh, I mean bar. Let her know and she'll fix you up a mean frito pie.

Wanna be Johnny Cash is a regular. I'm not too sure, but I think that's a Teletubby to the right and a MS-13 member behind CASH.

The lovely decor and pool table.

Miss Lou's in Vidalia (I think) back in the day or maybe Morley's Marina in Addis. Both gems.
