That's on the short list. There used to be several bars between Lafayette and Opelousas that could vie for that title.

Winner. Back in the day, they would let 15 year olds in there, but not black people. They would also serve people until there was no one left...so that joint would stay open until 4 a.m. on a Wednesday.
A friend once watched a guy change his transmission in that gravel parking lot. Said the guy pulled a spare transmission out the back of his truck and got to work. Nothing like doing heavy mechanical work after a night of drinking.

Hoot And Mary Lous
Waterfall Lounge
Jimmy Cs
All legit contenders.
However the trashiest bar to ever exist in Houma was The Fiesta Lounge off Barrow Street. That place smelled like Corn Chips and Assholes.

Saturday night is good for at least 3 or 4 chick fights. Sure makes for a long day of fishing the next day.

There were a couple of bars in Alexandria in the early 90s that were notorious for fights -- they would get all these young guys from England AFB and Fort Polk. One was the Light House a.k.a the Fight House. Friend said he once watched a guy walk in and say "I just got out of basic training and I want to fight somebody! Who wants to take me on?" Bunch of guys jumped in.

PJ's in Montague
She looked at me and laughed. I asked her what was funny. She says "we aint got no grey goose, we aint got no tonic and we damn sure aint got no twist of lime". I said "never mind, give me a bud"...
About 10 minutes later two chicks started fighting on the dance floor. Now I know what heaven is all about
