I agree that that is the best Copelands. Does Old Jefferson go in this group? Some pretty good places on Jefferson HWY. Or does this group stop at Clearview?

Still wouldn't consider calling something "the balls" a compliment...

and I'll bet Blue Tomato wont' even make the list, eh?

That's the place I had on my mind when I asked about Old Jefferson.

the only thing I'll get there (when I'm forced to go with my uncle, btw) is the Copeland Burger. it's actually pretty damn good. that croissant they put the burger between is the balls.

The reason its still in my Top Ten burger list, but Sammy's may knock it off, I still need to try Cowbell, but the Copeland burger with Tiger sauce and bacon mushrooms and cheese on a croissant is a very good burger.

10. Smilies- decent cafeteria food during the day, Dinner isnt what it used to be, but can still fool the people around there.

9. Zea- yes its a chain, but the food is really good. You know what you get when you walk in the door.

8. The Ridge Bistro- a little pricey for serving size, but it has good food and a well rounded menu for being in a strip mall.

7. Phil's Grill- the best burger in town and one of the top 10 in the area.

6. Hickory Cafe- good lunch specials and pretty good food

5. Bobbys Seafood- good po boys and good boiled seafood. More well rounded than Seithers, where i only go to get crawfish.

4. Red Wagon- has a little piece of my heart from childhood. Good plate lunches and pretty good po boys at a fair price. Open late now as well.

3 Nuccios- like someone said, new chef is putting out really good food there. I eat here often and its quality every time.

2. HillBilly- the BBQ is one of the tops in the city. I like the Joint better, but HilBilly is up there.

1. Charlie Seafood- still has that hometown feel, with much better food that what they used to have. Prices are reasonable. Hands down the best food in this area.

Went there today - solid place. I agree about the serving size.

I'd go to a lot of places in Harahan quicker than this one. Gumbo was blah, and so was my oyster po-boy. Never understood the hype.
