Everyone here loves it because they serve their sandwiches on a cutting board.

I'd say it's more of a poor man's Sammy's.

It's been a while since I've been. The past few times I attempted to go it was too crowded. No room at the bar and 45 minute wait for a table. Twice it was Wednesday at 6:00 (student night). Another time was during a basketball game, and another during a baseball game. Yes, I know that it's my fault for trying to go during the busiest times. But, unless it's 50% off (student deal) or I'm there to watch sports I have no interest in going to Walk-Ons.

The food has always been decent and the waitresses are good looking most of the time.

People love to hate it.

Just like many other places.

Walk-ons is a fun place to go and hangout with friends, drink, and watch games.

It's not a fancy restaurant; the food is good for what it is, sports bar food

Exactly. It's probably a little bit like a Beef O'Brady's, except with a little more emphasis on the bar. If I'm looking for a great steak, I don't go to Walk-On's. However, if I'm just looking to grab a sandwich and watch a ball game with friends, it's not a bad place at all.

You can't really compare the Walk On's near LSU to the franchises. Really different atmospheres.

The BR Beef's was way smaller than a Walk-Ons and they didn't even serve hard liquor. The grilled fish sandwich was pretty tasty though.

Weren't they in the same building?

ETA: And yes I'm aware that Walk-Ons moved to Town Center... was it because it was too small?

It's NOT inexpensive. I find the BR location is more family friendly, at least during the day. The burgers and fries are good and it's the best place to watch an LSU away game, especially in New Orleans.

No idea, I was sitting at the outside bar the whole time.

I'm talking about the one on George O'Neal. Did BR have more than one?

The one on Bluebonnet will be non-existent in 5 years. You gotta wear night vision goggles in that place

I thought the old Walk-Ons Coursey location was previously a Beef O'Brady's... was it some other Irish-themed place?

There was a Happy's next to that Walk-Ons.

Yes, that too, but the actual building that Walk-Ons was in next to that Happy's was an Irish-themed place before it was a Walk-Ons. I thought it was a Beef O'Brady's, but it might have been something else.

The area around Coursey and Sherwood is no longer a desirable place for something like a Walk-Ons.

I'm not at all a fan of the Londoner, and I wonder if they'd still be open without Hunan backing.

They have the best cheese sticks on earth, and the Surf and Turf burger is great.

The rest is not

I don't think I'll be back.

I think it was the shrimp tacos, which were so bad that I just ate the shrimp out of them because whatever sauce they had on it was disgusting...but I guess not even the shrimp were safe.
