Went to one in Lafayette because it was close to my hotel and wanted to watch playoffs last week and enjoyed my visit for sure.

The food douches love to hate on it.

Bottom line is you should go there to watch a game, drink beers, and get standard bar food. If you do that, it's a great place.

If you're the kind of person that goes out to eat, takes pictures of their food, and writes full length reviews about it, you're gonna have a bad time

Who do you consider "food douches"? Anyone other than your pictures and reviews description?

Moreover, do you think they're hating on it necessarily? Could it possibly be hating on people calling it a "great place"?

Personally, I've never been there, so I have no dog in the fight. I'm just interested.

I absolutely love their new buns You see, that is what makes the world go round

When did they change?

I havent gotten a burger or sandwich there in a while as I am still boycotting it until another decent bun option is presented.

I feel like they changed to the sweet buns about 3-4 years ago? So I guess new isn't the right word. I just remember loving it the first time I had it when they made the change. I understand it is somewhat of a polarizing bun though

This crowd gets seriously worked up over Walk-Ons...........

To the OP, it is average food that is consistently average.

They have cold beer and a lot of TV's..............you MFers are so mad. We need to tweak the name of this board to The OT Food and Drink Board.

I'm all for giving you the benefit of the doubt that the place is a good place to hangout and watch a game if you want to pay $13 for a doubke of $8 for a pint of canebrake, but get the frick out of here with saying their food is good.

It is awful.

Compared to Hooters, Twin Peaks, BWW, Beef Obrady's, and Fox & Hound the food at Walk On's is as good as better and the service is def. better.

I'm not sure what's so difficult about this.

how are cheese fries there any different than cheese fries at any other place.

You're just one step from away from going all the way and saying just make geese fries at home. I miss TigerHam

I seriously hope nobody looking for a "great steak" doesn't think to go to Walk On's.

Wings no. But their Bakers Gold on their tenders is legit. Everyone call me a child for eating a tender now

This. It's not the greatest restaurant in town, it's not the best bar in town. But it does a pretty good job of being an above average, consistent, sports bar/restaurant.
