I was at a family reunion this past weekend and of course there were the family members that insist on bringing foods that can only be described as white trash and disgusting. Curious if others have any recipes to share as well. The dish that was served this past weekend was canned pineapple rings with miracle whip on top. Then, sprinkled with cheddar cheese and topped off with jarred cherries. What's even more disgusting is that it was completely wiped out within minutes of the food being served.

The white trashiest thing I think that I eat is chili mac made with wolf brand chili and velveeta shells and cheese.

I guess a tie would be taco meat mixed with shells and cheese and eaten like a burrito with tortillas.

Kool aid pickles

My student demographic can't get enough of them.

Had some really crappy poutine at what had to be the Krystal's of Canada.

This is trashy? This is a staple of the backpacking/freeze dried world.

All I know is that I ate the crap out of that when I was poor and living in the dorms :)

I still eat it because I love it. However, it has to be wolf brand chili and velveeta shells and cheese. Any deviation from that will be sub par.

My grandma would do canned pear halves with a spoonful of mayo in the hole topped with some cheddar cheese. It was delicious.

To make: tater-tot casserole. Fantastic

On the road: chicken-cheese crispitos. I could eat nothing but those for the rest of my life.

When I worked in the pipe yard of an oil/gas service company there was a guy who ate white bread and potted meat sandwiches everyday. I had never heard of potted meat at the time. Looked disgusting.

I attended a party where one of the more "rural" families brought Cracker Salad - crackers, mayo, tomatoes, egg, salt and pepper.

Wal-mart now has a tropickle, kool-aid type and my demographic kids hate them. hahahha

I would say Mayo and saltines. Everyone who turns their nose at them usually ends up scrapping the bottom of the mayo jar.

I like crackers "with" those things, so maybe it's good all mixed up?

Cornbread salad sounds kind of trashy, but it's good stuff.

I guess the trashiest thing I do is sometimes use mayo as a salad dressing.
