Although I have seen platters with more food I don't think that is a terrible price.

That looks like a huge ripoff to me. For that price, you get a much better (based solely off looks since I haven't eaten at Frankie and Johnnies, but that looks like it would taste burnt and shitty) platter with better portions of much better looking food at New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood.

Not sure who has the best in the city because I'm not usually ordering a seafood platter when I eat out.

FWIW, from the Frankie and Johnny's Facebook page, someone posted this in response to the platter in the OP:
Looks like same person posted it

Frankie & Johnnie's is the type of place a Baton Rouge resident who visits Nola twice a year would recommend to other BR residents.

The place is horrible but I'd buy furniture from them

I also think the juke box there goes strait to a Hogs team's fundraising

Those old school fried platters are a culinary relic that probably belong in the dustbin of culinary history. [quote]

This pretty well covers it.

I agree that quarter view has the best seafood platter when considering price and amount.

Deanies platters are huge and pretty good. We can split a half platter and have a good bit left to bring home.

What? That's like two of each item. Besides the fact that the food looks horrible, that's a joke.

We served 3x that for $19.99. $10 more and you got 1.5x the amount meant for 2 people.

That's a ripoff for $25. That's like half an appetizer for you

Oh my gosh, I think you're right. It isn't even a whole slice of bread. It's diagonally cut in half.

I think there's another piece under the oysters

I'm not expecting a mountain of food when I get a seafood platter, but that is pretty scant

Just found this on their Yelp page.

Caption says this is their catfish "platter". It is ONE filet and these fries.. and it is $15.

That looks delicious actually, but does seem high for one piece of fish
