I was gonna start a thread but I'll try in here first. Those of you who do protein bars/shakes, which brand do you buy? I like grabbing a bar an apple on my way out in the morning. Lately I've been using Pure Protein brand but I'm open to even healthier options. I've never been a protein shake guy but I could give it a try. TIA for ant suggestions

Smoothie every morning...
I do some banana, maybe a bit of peanut butter, spinach, almond milk, and a bit of granola but not much.
Either that or carrot, mixed berries, frozen peaches, spinach, and almond milk.

Either a quick 2 egg omelot or 2 hard boiled eggs
Basically what I do. If not doing boiled I throw the eggs, piece of turkey, hot sauce, and pepper in a bowl. Scramble and put in micro for 1:30-2 mins mixing once.

What are the proportions on that second smoothie?

You can always do Greek yogurt. It's supposedly terrible for the environment (what isn't nowadays), but it's everything you're looking for.

Steel cut oats. Takes about 15-20 mins but worth it. I even wake up a few minutes early some days just to cook it

You don't have the time to separate two/three eggs and make an omelet? Damn I am impressed that you are so short of time in the morning as you are apparently.

You can put steel cut oats in a small $10 crock pot and set the timer so it and your coffee are ready when you get up.
I have two cups of coffee with Splenda every morning and about four or five mornings I have scrambled egg whites with a couple slices of turkey in them. I buy the quarts of 100% egg whites. I'll add one whole egg for a bit of richness.

Steel cut oats in the crockpot overnight with apples, raisins, cranberries and spices, add walnuts, maple syrup and flax meal before serving. Good too with peaches, blueberries, whatever is in season.
Blend 2 cups of spinach, some cucumber, minced ginger, an avocado, a mango, 4 slices of pineapple, lemon and lime juice and some green tea for energy and anti-inflammatory properties. Two servings.
