Anyone able to get one this year in BR?
I've been calling all over and no one has them. Got one last year in Walker, but it's sounding like they might not be doing it anymore.

Any other good fried turkeys in the area i can get?

I looked into getting one a couple of years ago. They are apparently not really fried turkeys. Just seasoned like popeyes chicken, par baked, and sent to the stores frozen.

Had one last year that was definitely fried.

I don't care what they are, they taste good, are never dry, and take an hour to heat up and serve.

I ordered one 2 years ago from the Popeye's in Elmwood. Was disappointed when I got it because it was most assuredly NOT fried.

The one on staring fried two turkeys for me a few years back. Trick was I had to bring the turkeys. They charged me 20 $ to fry them

The ones in Nola used to offer them yearly for 35$, including the turkey of course

Elmwood Popeyes is taking orders for them. May want to ask how they're prepared. Different locations do it different ways.

they do them in the fryer. In NOLA Finn McCools used to fry turkeys for people, but too many people started doing it I guess.

Never heard of this before but would love to try.
Any suggestions to get a fried turkey from in the Denham Springs Baton Rouge area?

They still do it. You bring your own turkey and they will fry it for you on Weds.

The stores do not heat the turkeys in anyway.

They are cooked and then frozen, and shipped to the Popeyes restaurants. Some stores will sell frozen, and some will thaw them and sell them. That's as far as they go.

Try Copeland's, they catered our Thanksgiving Feast at my office, and their turkey was awesome. Spicy Cajun Style.
