Whole Foods actually has good pizza too. There's a place up here in Zachary called Chubby's that has great pizza. I miss Oscar's and Chef Bogdan's Dolce Vita truck.

Truth, they are my go to for pizza here in Dallas as I haven't really found one I love yet.

Red Zeppelin is my favorite. The location, the porch, the beer, and the pizza are just right.

I love the beer specials too. Tuesday or Wednesday is like $3 pints? They also do a special on pitches as well at some point, which also translates to the pricing on growlers.

I'm still ticked off they stopped the 2 slices for $5 special. That was my go-to cheap lunch.
THANKS OBAMA

It's 2 for $6 here in Dallas. Not that big of a difference.

Had Rotolos on gov street last night. Probably one of the best pizzas I've had in a while. Maybe because I had it fresh. I live right here and never think to stop by, but damn it was pretty good

They make a solid pie, I don't know why they always get overlooked in the Baton Rouge scene. They have locations all over so they are probably doing alright.

Fleur de Lis with extra cheese is hard to beat. I like to take it home and cook it on the green egg for an unbelievable pizza with a more crunchy crust.
Rotolo's is really good too, their cheese blend is really flavorful and has a good stringy texture.

I've never heard someone describe a pizza that way before

Rotolo's uses pre-packaged food so that doesnt sit well with everyone. I do like their pizza though!

I understand that and I don't think its some culinary destination by any means. But in a city severely lacking in quality pizza options, they are a good choice with multiple locations.

It wasn't the greatest choice of words. A lot of pizza joints use cheese that has the texture of lukewarm velveeta and almost as much taste. Rotolos cheese has a firmer, stretchy quality and is a little saltier than most.
