Group of guys with a few hours to kill during the day. Would like to either hit up a brewery or beer garden in the city (so Abita is out) - where would you recommend?

Currently leaning towards NOLA or Second Line, but I can be persuaded to go elsewhere. I've also heard good things about the Bayou Beer Garden.

TIA.

Rent the Nola brew bus and hit up a couple of them.

Where will you be?

I'd recommend Courtyard, NOLA, or Urban South.

Courtyard is both, and the best (IMO), so you should go there.

If you have a few hrs you could go to a few of them.
Courtyard / NOLA / Ave. Pub / Urban South all fairly close together

I'd do Nola brewbus because you can do a lot more than just 1, and not worry about driving/ubering.

Best all around atmosphere? NOLA Brewing.

Best beer? Courtyard Brewing.

Coming from the Quarter.

For those recommending the Brew Bus, I looked into it a bit but we are really only going to have a couple hours, so I'd rather pick one spot to go to and chill versus rushing around the city.

I don't know anything about this place so I'm definitely going to look into it with all the people here giving it good reviews.

Nola and second line are close. Then hit up Tchoup Yard.

Courtyard would not be a fun place to hang out with a group of guys IMO, and the beer is meh.

What other beers does courtyard make? I'm not a fan of IPA's, taste like bitter lawn trimmings to me.

This one is good to know about. Wouldn't have been on my radar.
