What's going on here? Closed the Airline Highway location in Gonzales 6 months or so ago. Was out and about earlier and decided to pick one up for me and the wife for tonight at the Dutchtown location on Hwy 73. They are closed now too! I'm on a mission at this point. Drive all way to the Highland Rd location right off Airline Hwy in BR in the hopes they are still in business and luckily they were.

We used to get them a lot when we lived in Dutchtown. In Prairieville now and I would much rather get pizza from Roma and I don't have to cook it. Papa Murphy's on the grill is pretty good though.

Hopefully the company is doing well. It is good product.

We moved to Pass Christian and there are none around here! We used to live 5 minutes from the Highland/Jefferson location. Really miss it!

Also the one by Mathernes on Perkins/Bluebonnet closed down. Sad because the next closest one is over by Bocage, which means traffic.

I haven't been in a while, but I'm really surprised to hear they're folding all over the place. Perkins/Bluebonnet was my store. OTOH, I just googled Noble Romans, and I'm not at all surprised the one on Coursey failed. Their pizza was just awful, while Papa Murphy's is pretty good.
I see FRSH is slightly below the middle of their 52 week range.

Perhaps their franchise agreement isn't worth a damn?

They just closed 6 that I know of. I think ARKEL construction/contractors owns them as a side project, they simply are getting crushed as a business model. I think the $5 pizzas and delivery options are better received in the area

Most people just don't want to pick up pizza.
They sure don't want to pick it up and have to bake it.

When is $9.99 for a large, with fresh ingredients, you bet your arse Ill pick up instead of waiting an hour for delivery.
We probably have Papa Murphys once a month. I go ahead preset the oven, call Papa Murphys with my order, go pick up in 10 minutes put in my oven and have a decent pizza in 20 minutes. If you use their coupons its even better.

Maybe Costco is hurting them in BR? It's cheap and decent. That said, I'd rather have Papa Murphy's than any of the chains except Mellow Mushroom. I don't get why they're failing, other than I haven't been to one in a while, mainly because of Costco.

How come there is no 2 dollar coupon anymore with your cooking sheet anymore....went to the bocage location the day of the Syracuse 11am game and they didn't open up early for game day...when I asked why the next time I went the employee told me...he wasn't interested in opening early because he had a life outside of pizza...

Family size, half chicken bacon artichoke and half thai chicken, thin crust is our go to "don't want to cook" meal

They have the $5 Friday carry outs. My kids love it.
I like their salads too. For what it is it's very good. Don't get me wrong I still love my local Italian joint folded pizza

Arkel has a "food services" arm that was doing business overseas and then got into Papa Murphy's. Think they had 10 or so but have been closing them down.
Take and bake can be had from a lot of places, Albertsons, Wal Mart, Alexander's, SAMs, Costco etc...which for many are probably more convenient.

Walmart Neighborhood Market on Sherwood and Coursey just hopped on the take and bake pizza train. They have a pizza station that will construct the pizza for you to take it home or you can get it baked in store.

Papa murphy's always has an off menu $5 large pepperoni that you don't need a coupon for. I've done quite a few parties with those.
