hard to say whether his image hit will hurt his wallet
august isn't going anywhere and his other places are less about him and more individually marketed. plus let's be fair, they are all well above average and usually superior dining

I don't know whether the touristas eat at besh restaurants because of him or the food, but I'd guess it's the food

It's because of the ratings and hype. Which is attributed to him.

Will blow over in 1 year or so and will just be a footnote. Especially when Shaya moves to NYC

It's different on here because this is a food board but I don't think the average nola restaurant goer could name the Besh restaurants

His image will suffer for the people that know him though

The reddit posts put Alon right in the middle of the bullshite also. Looks like he just wasn't as much of a scumbag, had an out, and used it.

You should take those Reddit post to the Police. That may be the evidence they are looking for.

The Besh harassment story was mentioned tonight on the ABC Nightly News program in a report that started with Harvey Weinstein.

Interesting. Would these allegations have affected gamblers?

An interesting twist on breakup will be seeing what Alon and those in his group knew and when they knew it. It's looking more and more like people knew **** was going to hit the fan, so it was good timing for Alon to get out when he did. BUT he was also the executive chef at three of the BRG restaurants, so who knows what he and the people he took with him knew and when? How much was Alon complicit and decided to leave and make a good face before the rest of the news broke?

I was going to say hopefully Alon, Brian Landry, and others end up okay because of a mess the business team created, but that was making a presumption that others are not culpable. At this point, it's easy to make judgments on the bad but we really don't know who the good guys are, and that sucks. I'll just say I *hope* Alon is a good guy, but until the dust settles he and other leaders are going to face tough questions.
