Can't stand that talentless hack.

Anyway, Marjorie is looking solid and could be around to the end. Cali guy is such a clueless knucklehead.
I would not be surprised to see Jeremy win by edging out Kwame.

Just watched the latest episode. Isaac nearly went home on sausage he makes at his restaurant. They found it needed more fat and flavor. The description didn't sound very tasty. Glad he made it to another week, but he's been in the bottom frequently.

Yep. He has gone from being in the top 3 every competition to facing elimination.

He really disagrees with their opinion on that..

The guy who got eliminated had been really strong. One awful segment can send you packing. Kwame had a really bad one the episode before and if he hadn't won some of the challenges he would have been gone. The dish he did that round was by far the worst of the entire season.

I love Isaac's comment

“People who say they eat with their eyes first should be stabbed with a pork-chop bone.”

I have been worried about him lately. Hippy manbun won one which sucks. I have been wanting his arse gone for a while. I don't think I would have made chicken and bacon sausage for a Beefsteak. I really don't think they understood the concept though. I have a feeling that they were set up to fail though for more drama in the show.

What we saw made it seem like that. They explained it much more fully after the cooking was done.

All that "big plates of meaty decadence we eat with our hands" came out after the fact.

He grew on me a bit this week. I decided he seems more clueless than douchey. More genuine than I originally thought. Just kind of a dork.

I know I was confused when people were buying fish. If you're not going with beef, at least go with a meat is what I was thinking. I fully expected Isaac to go with beef. I was socked that they judges pronounced it dry and under seasoned. I would have expected it to be full of flavor, but he should have done pork sausage rather than chicken in my opinion. The chicken aspect was another surprise to me from him.

I think he was going for more upscale than regular sausage. well made pork sausage would have probably won the contest. Sometimes you need to KISS.

Chicken sausage isn't upscale to me, bacon or no bacon. Pork sausage is.

I agree with you. A good well seasoned pork sausage would have been a winner. They got excited when they saw the sausage, but let down by the flavor.

Exactly. That type of dish is what they do so well at his place. His meat board is insanely good. Hell, everything is really good.

Observations from tonight's episode

1. Could not stop staring at padmas tits. Holy shite
2.Isaacs wife telling him not to come back with a douche L.A. attitude/accent was awesome.
3. Really tired of the stereotypical "southern chefs" aren't as defined as if their food is looked down upon. And those from NYC, LA, etc wonder why they get a douche reputation.
4. Padmas tits
5. The ugly troll sucks

I figured your #1 would be the first comment of all of you guys. I thought they might fall out of her top at any minute.

I hope Isaac can hold on through dinner service. I think he's safe after lunch. I still don't understand the constant comments about his food being underseasoned. Maybe they're expecting more than normal because he's from Louisiana. Isaac ran the kitchen well.

Marjorie was smart to offer wine elsewhere to clear the tables.

I am pretty sure any time they refer to something being "underseasoned" they are specifically referring to salt. That is unless the dish is supposed to be spicy or "heavily spice", maybe like a curry or chilli.

Solid move by her. But she is still a bitch. If you wanted a cheese course, why would you not listen to a chef who does specifically that at his restaurant and makes all the accouterments?

One said something about the saffron and the fennel. I assume it was missing enough of both of those. They usually specify undersalted food.

I hope Isaac can hang in there, but I have a feeling the next person to run their kitchen won't be as successful. Red team was awful on timing. Can't see them improving much. Previews don't tell us which team they're criticizing or whether it was both.

Agreed. F that goblin. She was treating Isaac like shite. He has only been on the bottom once and every other time he hasn't been in the top but there hasn't been many negatives about his food.

I have to think that if someone was going home based on lunch service alone it would be Jeremy. He was executive chef and they didnt get food out to five or six tables because of his decisions.

Yes EVERYONE saw Padma's tits. Wow

On to the food. I was ready to choke a bitch because she kept talking down to Isaac. Which one owns a successful restaurant and was a James Beard finalist? Not Marjoire. Yes he ran the kitchen like a boss. Let's hope they aren't the team that crashes and burns for dinner. The previews suggested one team flames out. Tom had the saffron and fennel comment about Isaac's dish. I think Isaac handled the dissing very well though. Much better than I would have.

From what they showed, Isaac's demeanor was terrific and they ran the kitchen so well. The biggest problem was the front of the house which Marjorie did eventually cure with the wine offerings, but it took her a while to do it and when the judges arrived, she wasn't around and had no one there in her place when she stepped away.

I was worried about Isaac going home after this battle because they showed him calling home. A foreshadowing? Hope not. He earned his stripes by running that kitchen unless he screws up royally on his dinner food. Even if his team goes down at dinner, he should get a buy for the smooth operation at lunch and getting them going to set up for dinner early.

Where is Kwame from/lived in Louisiana? That was the first I heard him mention La.
