Yeah, Isaac didn't make up her dish.

Right, but execution is 90% of a dish. He prepped and cooked them. I get it, y'all have a hard on for Isaac but honestly.... he isn't what I would ever consider fitting of the title "Top Chef"

No. You are wrong. The judges had a problem with the concept. Good execution couldn't save the poor concept.

You'll be pissed when Isaac wins it all.

I'll bet whatever you want that he doesn't win

I thought Isaac stuffed the trout with her stuffing, but wasn't it the broth/sauce that made them pucker and turn up their noses?

Isaac had a great night tonight. Win the first challenge and was successful with the Viking food on the wood.

Toups got immunity and Karen got sent packing. Isaac had a strong dish in the elimination challenge. Amar won one. I would not have cried if Jeremy bra got sent packing.

Jeremy

Sounded to me like he didn't execute the chowder, but I was over hearing that douche guest judge talking about being a miner.

The dish was based upon a different premise that guy didn't understand.

Jeremy is lucky that he's still around. He dicked stuff up in restaurant wars and messed up this week. It's obvious that of the folks who are left, he's the only one who doesn't have a chance of winning the competition.

Very true. In real life, he would have been the one out no matter how good his cooking was.

messed up this week

Because his chowder wasn't chowdery enough? Meh.

Based on the last 2 weeks probably true. Until that point, that was not the case.

Jeremy didnt play to the challenge. He knows how to make sauces and the only word he knows is crudo. He choose not change his style even slightly to adapt to the challenge. Same thing with the rap battle. He literally has the same exact concept for every dish.

That troll marg talks shite about Isaac not being "refined" or not showing enough technique, but he is killing it right now.

Neither dish Jeremy made was a crudo

Jeremy works for Jean-Georges. He is a beast.

And that "douche judge" is Jonathon fricking Waxman, he is a legend.

I don't care if he invented cooking. Talent and renown does not exempt one from douche-ness. The "what miners eat" comments were stupid.

How? They were supposed to cook something of the era, he chose the gold rush era... There were a couple miners in that time period if I recall correctly... He gave them a tiny piece of fish... Didn't really hit the challenge

How?

He pulled menus from a hotel of the time that was serving the more sophisticated dishes. He chose that route rather than the beans and franks miners were likely eating.

I don't think you recall it at all. It was a long time ago.

Every episode before that he did. They even commented on it the previous episode.

Im not saying he isnt, but everything he does is pretty much the same.

Kwame. Damn, have you never seen this show? The dumbass who buys his tortillas, sausage, bagels, waffles, etc. rather than make his own is as good as gone. There's one every season. Always an awkward moment at judge's table when Padma asks, "Tell me how you made your ---." This year, it was you and your frozen waffles.

I was worried when Isaac chose gumbo. Wasn't sure how these judges would be with that, but they liked it. Made me want to try it.

Same here.

They loved Isaac's concept before even tasting his gumbo
