Once you drink beer with crap in it it's hard to taste anything else?

They had been drinking beer beforehand, I assume whatever their brand of choice was.

That people can assess Borderline-Safe Foods by using their Nose.
It's where your puzzling Food Poisoning originates.

Boo I've done it many times. I have no problem picking Miller lite out from the other BMC. Now picking out the Bud or Coors I can't do.

I think Coors would be the easiest one to pick out. It has that distinct Tap the Rockies Flavor.

For me it's refrigeration and freezing. Depending on the ingredients food does require immediate refrigeration after it's cooked. Now I'm not talking egg salad but a lot of non dairy foods are fine without immediate fridge time.

I can distinguish Bud, miller, Coors light from each other every single time. I would bet a kids college fund on it. I'm sure most people that have drank them on more than a few occasions could do the same. Easily. They taste noticeably different.

I hate the misconception that serving "ice cold" beer is something to be proud of or advertise.

I hate that so many people think New Orleans restaurants are all about Cajun cooking and fried food.

This. Everything in Louisiana, including New Orleans is "Cajun country." Cajun this, cajun that....

To add to that, the misconception that all Louisiana food has to be really spicy.... Well seasoned does not have to mean spicy.

For most Americans it is. Probably something like 97% of Americans that drink beer would rather it be really cold. Like it or not it's a fact.

In fairness, it is to the joints that advertise it based on the beer they are serving.

The big 3 light beers are better "ice cold" - if that's your thing and all.

On another note my biggest pet peeve is people over cooking and abusing delicious pieces of pork.

While neither a myth or misconception, nothing pisses me off more then over cooking a protein. Pork, chicken, you name it.

Also, Johnny's pizza = good. Myth busted.

This is a fact. Maybe not between Bud light and Coors Light, but Miller Lite is definitely different compared to those two. I'd question the functionality of your taste buds if you couldn't taste the difference.

I couldn't tell you which is which in a tasting, but I could tell that they were different.

I'd love to try it sometime though.

I had to work with a militant vegan a few years ago for 6 months. He eventually was able to convince everyone that microwaving food was bad for you because of all the radiation that is exposed to the food.

I tried to explain to him why his theory was bogus but he didn't listen.

He would always criticize people's food choices and unfortunately people followed his advice instead of telling him to mind his own business.

Me too. I get that beer nerds spurn the beers in question and think they're shite, but to say they taste the same is insane. And besides, how the frick would a beer nerd know what they taste like anyway. Do they secrete delve into the ice cold offerings of the evil mythical BMC conglomerate? Are they coming home for the beer nerd conventions, slipping off the pretzel necklaces and knocking back a 12-pack of Satan's seed? I think not.
