Michelob. It's a great all around beer. Not Ultra, Harvest, or Amber Bock. Just regular ole Michelob.

A teacher that fails at reading comprehension. That's rich.

The correct answer to this thread is Sierra Nevada products. Nationally available, quality beer at reasonable prices.

I think you're referring to what I call a "fallback" beer. If I can't find a whale or that great seasonal beer, or something that I really want to drink, I get my fallback beer - the one that's really good, but I don't seek it out because it's always readily available.

Good description of what I was thinking.
Had some friends over and they are from MI, so they are very fond of Founders All Day. I had one and thought "this is really good! I'd order this if I am out and there isnt' something local and interesting"

Tiger in ATL. Drinking a really solid beer in ATL right now. Sweetwater IPA at some bar in the airport.

Know anywhere to get Creature Comfort in Augusta.

Five pages in an no one has mentioned Anchor? Shame on y'all! Anchor Steam is an American classic, and Anchor Porter is one of the best porters out there.

Yeah, not our fault that they make forgettable beers.

Do better.

Pivo Pils is one of my go-tos out of town.

Tropicalia?

It is nearly impossible to get even in Atlanta. You can sometimes find the Berliner Weisse around (called Athena)

I'm going to Athens this weekend. Going to pick up some Tropicalia as well as Cosmik Debris, their double IPA.
