I would do 8-12 reps per set of a weight that you struggle to get the last few reps.

With a Tanita body fat scale. I think the phone angle makes me look a bit fatter than I actually was. I checked my records and I was at 22.7% body fat when that picture was taken.

You sound just like me. I started out with 10-12 reps, but have done the 5-3-1 program for a few months. I like to mix it up for variety, motivation, and to keep your muscles "guessing."

You look good for 52 Dandy. You probably look better than the majority of guys in their 20's on this site.

I am a vain mofo.
I´ve been an athlete most of my life (it´s always been part of my day), and also have to work out daily to keep stress/my brain´s machinations at bay.

All right, I will get in on this weirdness.
At 54, I can feel pretty good about going to the pool, but I could definitely use some muscle and definition.
