I see Rob posting about how long the lines are and people start lining up at 8:30. Now he's posting on instagram that he's looking for investors. Why do I get the feeling that he won't really be closing on Saturday?

Probably saying that the support has swayed him.

I think he will be back to pop-ups or similar.

He's got a video on Facebook of the long line outside and he says it's for future investors. Maybe someone will come to his rescue.

On his Instagram......THIS GUY with the shorts, leather shoes and dark socks. Whether or not that loony tunes chef stays open or not, I want to party with the rockstar in the black socks

My question is: is he making enough food for the crowd? Or is he selling out by noon?

I'll never step foot in this place because Rob is a huge tool douchebag, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Apparently the health issues were to scam people for money. Definitely a sound investment...

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought this. I've got enough crap investments that are like Apple in 1988 compared to investing with this bat shite crazy fool. It takes a lot more than knowing how to cook a brisket to be in business and I have a feeling if I was his partner I'd soon be looking to book the Robert Downy Jr. Suite at Betty Ford.

Easy to sellout to a line of 20 people with 3 briskets.

maybe i'm out of the loop and i don't live in NOLA, but i'm trying to understand this. you have enough money to buy groceries for the next day, but you leave a line of people each day at noon empty handed because you didn't cook enough, therefore, you don't have enough money to stay open.

seems simple enough to me.

Apparently, his pit will only hold so much food and he can't afford another one. For a day, he started a GoFundMe page for money to buy another pit, as I recall. That was quickly removed, though. Then, he asked for investors and that hasn't happened.

surely if you are that good, and have the paper to show it, you could get a loan. a southern pride (though not sure what he use) isn't that much, in the big picture, and the mark-up on bbq is pretty good.
