Yeah, went by Calandro's yesterday looking for it and it wasn't out. I'll have to swing by today.

Also saw on their twitter page that Abita strawberry is $17.99/12 pack. Didn't that use to be much cheaper last year? I don't really drink it unless whilst eating crawfish, but my wife loves it.

If I'm outside doing something I'm probably not putting a bomber back in the ice chest. By the time I down the first pour that LA heat is gonna have that bomber nice and warm for me.

Nothing I like more than warm, briney beer. shite, sometimes I pour my goses then microwave them if I'm forced to drink them indoors.

or is G and G more expensive?

G&G is just more expensive. Cdro has a good price on this. Same thing with Ghost--it was $12 at the brewery, $13 at Calandro's.

what is the difference between pounding a bomber and 2 cans 12 oz cans?

because i can drink something in between. I'm not huge on a gose' as i find them too tart usually, so i'll typically drink a gose between other beers.

Will G&G be just as difficult to get as GitM? If I wanted to get a bottle to try should I be making calls?

Considering a 24oz bomber is much less cost effective for the consumer than a 6-er or more of 12oz cans, I'd imagine that could be a difference.

If I'm going to spend $7 or more on just 24oz of beer at the grocery store, I'd rather it be more something to sip and enjoy than a gose that is easily chuggable after mowing the grass in August.

Damn, looks like I'll only be getting one at that price.

I'm going to try and get a couple for a super bowl party. That way I can split it with a buddy.

It used to piss me off that a bomber wouldn't fit upright in a microwave. I got over it after I tried nuking a can, though...

Covington is still around somehow.

This is how you know that there is room for another brewery in the market. My guess is that all these new breweries will open and Covington will STILL be around. The good ones will make money and expand, like Great Raft and Parish, and the bottom feeders will tread water...

I think the market will hole a lot more breweries than people think it will. I think loosening up the laws around taprooms, brewpubs, distribution, etc.. will open up the market for even more breweries.

Ross, can breweries in LA buy blank cans from Ball and sticker on the labels like some of the breweries (Alchemist and Tree House) in the north east do?

They can. From what I know, Great Raft is vehemently opposed to that. But Ross can answer that.

I hear you... it is kind of ugly.

I know I vehemently opposed that can of focal banger sitting in my fridge any longer than it took to chill it and drink.

The only Louisiana breweries that I pay attention to at the store are NOLA, Great Raft, and Parish. I know how Abita makes it but I have a hard time believing some of these other breweries are making real money.
