Great Raft, Parish, NOLA, etc..., and new brews for 2016

Anyone have any scoop on new brews from our local breweries for this year?
I've seen that GR is starting a sour program. LSURoss, any info you can give on this?
And B usually has the scoop on most beers, anything new from our locals coming out?
What about our new breweries in Louisiana? Wayward Owl, Southern Craft, chapapeela farms, etc... Any updates on their progress?
And when will Bell's and Ballast Point hit Louisiana?
ETA: Found some information via facebook on this topic.

Among the five breweries opened in 2015 are Jonathan Knoll's Broken Wheel Brewery at his Marksville restaurant, Fresh Catch Bistreaux; Flying Heart Brewing, which opened in Bossier in April; Second Line Brewing opened in New Orleans in August; and Cajun Brewing opened in Lafayette in September.

Urban South Brewery installed fermenters at its Tchoupitoulas Street brewery and is on track to open in early 2016. Wayward Owl Brewing Company is continuing its renovation on the Gem Theater in Central City. Crying Eagle Brewing is expected to open in Lake Charles in spring or summer of 2016, and Southern Craft Brewing Company will be Baton Rouge's second brewery when it opens in 2016.
New Orleans will get a beer-focused store and growler-filling shop at 504 Craft Beer Reserve on Tulane Avenue.
Nashville-based Rhizome Productions will bring its high-end food and beer event, Nuit-Belge, to New Orleans. The event will feature dishes from local restaurants including Primitivo, Root, Shaya, Angeline, Balise and Toups' Meatery. Each chef will create a dish to pair with an assigned Belgian-style beer.

I'm waiting for big things from delta rising. Great buzz around them.

You make them sound like universities.

They are. Esteemed programs for higher learning.
I did hear that NOLA is launching a Distillery.

Soon.
Southern Craft in BR should be open in 2016 as well. Their brewhouse came in before Christmas.

Great Raft is releasing their session IPA in bottles this year and 2 new seasonals
Their first sour (collab with Upland) should be released this spring as well

Monroe gets 3 new breweries this year. Ouachita Brewery, Flying Tiger and Cotton Port. I think the first one may be opened..

please
even with the new breweries, we will have less breweries than some cities, by a large margin as well

Why do a session IPA in bottles as opposed to cans? Doesn't make much sense when you already have a canning line.

I thought the same thing.
Maybe they will if it sales really well? Release it in bottles first as a tester? I don't know.

Best of my knowledge Ouachita and Cotton Port will have beer available in the near future. Flying Tiger is still a ways off.

I saw the Bell's rep last month and I asked him when they would be on the shelves. He said May/June.

Why spend $XX,000 of dollars on a beer that you only want to brew once a year just to can in?
