Why spend $XX,000 of dollars on a beer that you only want to brew once a year just to can in?

I guess I'm missing something here... does it not cost a similar amount (or more) to package it in bottles vs. cans? I assume 22 oz. bottles since that's what all the other Great Raft bottled beers come in.

And session IPA is a style that's tailor-made for cans, not bombers.

You know the business better than I do, but it's not making much sense to me.

Old rail in Mandeville just partnered with gnarley barley to release their first commercially distributed beer, Insidious Monk.

Yeah, I saw that. We do have a ton of barrels and a separate dirty cellar. Not to mention a 20bbl Foeder. You can use your imagination.

Courtyard just tapped an oyster stout that looks legit. They are really kicking up their game over there.

You can buy 1,000 cases of 22o brown bottles from a 100 different places.

Ask Ball or any other can mfg if you can order just 2 or 3 pallets of cans.

Can't remember which ones it was, but a couple of the Monroe ones were at Marsala's Brewfest event this past summer/fall

Hopefully more breweries means more competition and the current ones having to step up their game.

Example: I enjoy Bayou Teche's barrel aged beers very much, but heir regular rotation offers leave much to be desired. The Ragin Cajun beer, much like Canebrake, sells great to a broad spectrum of beer drinkers, but the rest of their 6-er lineup could possibly use some motivation to improve.

Absolutely, the better everyone gets, the better we all look.
