I'll be in New Orleans next Sunday and Monday nights. My wife and I are staying at the Omni in the Quarter.

I'm looking to really treat her to a nice couple of nights since I'm having shoulder surgery Tuesday morning and she'll be waiting on me for the following couple of weeks.

Any good restaurant suggestions? We enjoy most types of food, but I'd have to say seafood is our favorite.

Thanks in advance.

I ate at NOLA last night, it's on St. Louis. One of Emeril's places. I had the crab cakes for appitizer and shrimp and grits for my meal. Pretty good.

all about how much u want to spend, boss....

NOLAs is pretty good for a decent price. Most of Emerils are.

If you wanna go all out, go to Stella! or August one night....call now for reserves.....Antoine's or Galatoire's in the quarter are good if you have never been......

i would suggest a Port of Call burger for lunch one day! it was mentioned on a post here earlier today.....i love doin Brennan's brunch (but its always a weekend)....Dickie B's is a good steakhouse by ACME (fried seafood and oysters).....

you will get a ton of suggestions from folks.... enjoy...and hope you heal quickly

Thanks for the tips.

Price not really an issue... I'll be on military travel orders, so the government is picking up the hotel and paying both my wife and I per diem.

I hate to pimp another site, but nomenu.com has the listings of what restuarants are open on your nights.

Bistro at Maison de Ville. It just reopened after a fire. Open Sunday and Monday dinner.

Actual fish, seafood-wise, definitely GW Fins...

But otherwise, I think Pelican Club and Irene's are very reliable.

I went to Mister B's on Friday night and Dickie Brenan's on Saturday night. Both were good but Dickie's was top notch. Everything was excellent.

Rio Mar is a must,

Great change of pace from the typical New Orleans creole food.

Thanks for the recommendations. After listening to ya'll and talking with the Concierge at the hotel, I've decided.

I made reservations at NOLA for Sunday night and Pelican Club for Monday night. My wife should like both of them, especially since they are both known for having great desserts as well as great food.

Just be sure one of you gets the "Seafood Martini" at Pelican Club for an appetizer - that really stood out when I had it.

I was going to throw out Le Meritage, just because I haven't heard anything about it since it opened.

Gotta follow the Fitzmeister's 6-month rule, or else the world will cave in!
