On a similar note, I grew up with deviled ham sandwiches and still love one every now and then.

I also love a good cold red delicious apple, which is considered one of the lesser apples by most.

I don’t know about that. Last I heard they’re still producing more red delicious apples every year than any other variety. Maybe the people who say they don’t like them have never had a really good one. I like all kinds of apples but a good red delicious that’s super sweet with juice that runs down your arm is tough to beat. They also go better with peanut better than any other variety, imo. And that dark red peel is packed with nutrients.

Maybe it’s a southern thing.

Canned cranberry sauce

Also cantaloupe. Always the last thing gone on fruit trays and may be my favorite fruit.

Speaking of gas stations, the best corn dogs and burritos are found at rural gas stations under the heat lamp.

Ideally, shiny enough with grease you can see your reflection.

Maybe the burritos, but I still give the edge on corn dogs to bowling alleys.

I don't care for most apples but get a hold of some "honey crisp" or "cosmic crisp" apples and you might start coming around

Velveeta

I agree. There's a place in the world for Velveeta and canned soups in recipes.

There are a couple of recipes in which I use Velveeta. I don't know what the purpose of it is in the recipes. They aren't cheesy and you don't really taste the Velveeta, but if it wasn't in there, the recipe wouldn't be the same.

I made an old junior league chicken spaghetti recipe a few weeks ago. It sounds awful, but it's delicious. Has a lot of Velveeta and a can of tomato soup and cream of mushroom soup. It's not cheesy gooey. Made a ton so we shared it with some folks. My Mom ate it 4 times. The sitter ate it 3 times. My brother ate it twice and another family ate it twice.

I love radishes, raw or roasted. I used to dislike them, but I love them now.

Tuna noodle casserole, made with Kraft Mac n Cheese and cream of mushroom soup. Haven’t had it in years, but it was comfort food in my first college apartment.

I love some greens if they are made right. I agree that a lot of people don't seem to like them though.
