Food safety issues take toll on Chipotle’s perception

The closure of 43 Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants in the Pacific Northwest following an E. coli outbreak led to a dramatic decline in the brand’s consumer perception, according to the latest YouGov BrandIndex survey.
LINK
quote:Food with integrity I can't believe that people fall for this obvious marketing BS.
the survey demonstrates that the chain’s food safety scares could eat into its reputation, long built on its “Food With Integrity” slogan.
quote:
The E. coli outbreak was the second food safety scare this year for the chain. Health officials in Minnesota in September linked a salmonella outbreak to Chipotle restaurants there.
Problems with food safety is nothing new for Chipotle
quote:
435 Chipotle Customers with Norovirus, 6 Sick with Hepatitis A, LINK
quote:
The norovirus is transmitted primarily through the fecal-oral route
quote:
Transmission occurs either person-to-person or through contamination of food or water.
Let me translate. Chipotle fed people human shite.
quote:
”Food safety is, and always has been, our highest priority.”
Is it as high as say...McDondalds? Obviously not. So fricking ironic.
If this happen to McDonalds, the press would have crucified them. Talk about turning a blind eye.

Both Blue Bell and Jack in the Box killed people and they made it back. I'm no Chipolte fan but in a couple months after 46 more political debates they will be done from the news cycle and the sheep will reappear to the "New and Improved" Chipolte.
And Carson will have killed someone in his past, Hillary will still be hiding emails and Trump will have actually said "Jeb isn't worth a frick" on live TV and his numbers will go up.

Chipotle is every liberal's darling. It's already forgotten. They would say, "At least they are trying to do better and their heart is it the right place." They've been brainwashed into thinking that McDonald's is an evil corporation and Chipotle's shite doesn't stink. They can't and won't see that Chipotle's shite, in fact, does stink.
The liberal idea that "you suck," "there's a better way" and "we are the smart ones to do it" always seems to bite them on the arse when their class room theories meet reality, but they are so high from sniffing their own BS that they can't feel reality tearing at their arse.

Jesus jumpingbeans! People politicize everything these day. How the frick does Chipotle relate to liberal vs. conservative ideologies? I feel really sorry for people like you who take liberal and conservative sides and broadly paint the other side with wide brushes. News flash: You're not any better than the other person. We all get fricked equally.

I think he took my sarcasm a bit literal.

I've been a few times, what's so special about bland faux Tex-Mex? Just wait until Whole Foods bites the dust, then the hipsters will be shopping in Walmart.

Dude, EVERYBODY loves Chipotle. People line up in that place like zombie sheep. I promise you there's no particular socioeconomic demographic that favors the joint more than others.
But for crying out loud, how in the hell do you turn an issue of health safety to a conservative v. liberal thing?
You didn't even do it right ... you were supposed to blame Obama's domestic agriculture policies as well as his immigration policy, which combined resulted in undocumented migrant workers, who obviously don't wash their hands after taking a shite in the fields and go right back to harvesting, resulting in the spread of e. coli in the produce.
That's how you reach, baw.

Chipotle is not loved by everyone. Hippies/East Coast/Colorado bias grabbed on 1st, hence the political references. Bland messican subway.
Screw Chipotle.
Screw Chipotle.

So you think conservatives don't eat there? Then you've never been to an Atlanta location, and definitely not Baton Rouge.
That's like taking a broad brush and saying liberals don't eat Chik-Fil-A.

Not what I meant. Chipotle has a perception just like many national chains, theirs just happens to be liberal to alot of people. Right or wrong... Is what it is.

I don't care about all the politics in food, it still bland enough for a pre-schooler. But since Chipotle pushes all the "Food with integrity" BS, the pigs sit in recliners, the chickens are hand fed and the lettuce choppers make $50K, they attract a certain brainless demographic.
BWAHAHAHA...that's some funny arse shite.

With every burrito we roll or bowl we fill, we're working to cultivate a better world.

There is no hate for Chipotle. If their ad agency can come up with a bunch of pretentious, "holy-as-thou" BS to sell insipid fast food to soccer moms and hipsters, good for them, capitalism at work.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see if the people writing the ad copy can keep a straight face.
I'm waiting for "our e coli is locally sourced and renewable."

Not even close hoss. Nowhere near the "first." Maybe the first to mass produce and ship premade servings to multiple burrito shops, but dam sure not the orig of the idea. Kudos for being 1st to obtain the $ to franchise a bland offering to 'Merica

YouGov BrandIndex should change its name to NoShit Inc.
