the Old Fashioned craze has jumped the shark a bit. Every decent bar has thier version now, but they are almost always overly-sweet "mixed drinks"

Martini.

ETA: An actual martini, not something made with vodka.

Amen. Martini=Gin +/- dry vermouth + olive or twist. Nothing more, nothing less.

Mississippi Mule

1/2 oz lime juice
2.5 oz Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka
4 to 6 oz ginger beer

Serve in a copper mug, or low ball glass, or really whatever you want to serve it in.

Stir all ingredients together. Recommend using cracked ice.

Mint sprig and lime wheel garnish
Recommended ginger beer: Fever Tree, Barritts, Goslings or Reeds.
Cheers!!

It is hot. The bourbon soda is an ideal "cooler".
Fill tall glass w/ice
2 oz bourbon
1/4 lemon squeezed
Dash Peychaud's
Dash Regan's orange
Top w/ club soda
Stir

I drank Pimm's Cups all day yesterday and they were outstanding.
-Fill cup with ice
-Fill halfway with lemonade
-Couple of good splashes of Pimm's
-a splash or two of vodka
-Top off with 7-Up (diet for me)
-Stir with a cucumber

Delicious and refreshing

2 teaspoons sugar or (3 tsp simple syrup)

2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves

2 ounces light rum

2 ounces club soda

1 sprig of mint

Montana Bulldog:

One shot of Kahlua
One shot of vodka
8 ounces of root beer
4 ounces of milk or fat free half and half (can also use a couple tablespoons of vanilla coffee creamer)
Ice
Tastes like a root beer float

Drink a mojito weekly. I use Jamie Oliver's method--they come out fantastic.

Going to have to try out this Moscow mule based on the popularity
