This time of year:
1)Gin Sour
2)Hemmingway Daiquiri (Papa Doble)- not sweet, potent
3)Gin Buck- the Mule's daddy from before Prohibition
4)Whiskey or "Kentucky" Buck
5)Whiskey soda w/ slice of lemon and Peychaud's and Regan's bitters

I love those too, but prefer them in the fall and winter.

As far as regularly orderable cocktails--
Hendricks and Tonic

On a side note: the Old Fashioned craze has jumped the shark a bit. Every decent bar has thier version now, but they are almost always overly-sweet "mixed drinks". Pink in color, etc. A true OF is essentially bourbon with some subtleties from the other ingredients. Not a mixed drink.

I've just discovered the Gin Ricky.

So light, so not-sweet.

I love it!

Agreed. It should not be red or sweet.
