Entertaining Clients who have never been to Nola - where to eat dinner?

I've been most of the high-end places, but I'm not sure which one I should take some people who have never been to the city before.
any suggestions?
was thinking along the lines of commander's, gautreau's, clancy's, upperline, etc.

Can't go wrong with any of those. I always have to recommend Commanders for first timers.
Kenton's would be a good bet too.
For a neat "locals" experience, take them to Bachnel.
Are any of them beer drinkers. A run through Nola brewery tap room, Avenue Pub, and the Courtyard would be great. Maybe a visit to the Bulldog to sit outside if the weather is nice.
If they are cocktail people, go to Cure.

Coquette, Herbsaint, Meauxbar, La Petit, Doris Metropolitan
I would recommend any of these before your list. Except Commander's.

All of those would be good, though Commander's would be at the top of my list for out of towners.
I'm not sure how Upperline is doing these days. I haven't been since the last chef left, though there could have been several since then.

Why eat at Commander's and lie about eating at the best place in nola then just eat at the best place in nola (Coquette)?

Commander's
Arnaud's
Galatoire's
K-Paul's
Emeril's
These are the types of places that out of towners come to New Orleans for.

not that it isnt good, or even great, but they'd forget about that experience before they even get to the airport to leave. Not the case with Commanders

just take them to commanders
there is zero chance they won't love it
no reason to complicate the decision

To be honest, I'd take them to where the locals go. There are a dozen or so world class options in New Orleans, but there are also dozens of neighborhood joints that are unparalleled anywhere. For a good compromise, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place than Pascal's Menale. Home of the original NO BBQ shrimp and a great atmosphere.

The BBQ shrimp at Pascal Manale's are not good, but the oysters rock are among he best in town.
