Client took me to Luna Bar & Grill once. Food was good, seemed like a decent place to get some food and a drink.

To add a couple more...
MacFarlane's Irish Pub - 100+ beers and solid scotch selection. Food is good too. I'd recommend the crab cakes over fried green tomatoes. Irish beef stew is another good one.
Pint House Pizza - same people that own the above establishment. Best pizza in town
Botsky's - hotdog place. I've only been once but the alligator dog is fantastic.
All 3 of these places are downtown

Despite the hype it may get in the area, avoid Luna as an eating destination.
Other recs on here are pretty damn good.

Agree, Luna no good for food. A beer maybe.
Good recs above. Add Vic & Anthonys Steakhouse, La Truffle Savauge, and Mazens for upscale.
Heard really good things about Calla

another suggestion would be Cousins and I heard Nina P's is about set to reopen

I think Nina P's is opening within the next two weeks

Hacketts plate lunches are the best kept secret in town
Love seafood palace
Is Mazans still open?
Also haven't been back to LC in a year, is Casa Mañana still worth a visit? Use to love the chips and salsa and margaritas

I saw Tiffany (oldest daughter of owner) last week and she said 2-3 more weeks.

I know you're trolling, but man is it a shell of what it used to be.
ETA: Also, frick Steamboat Bill's. Overpriced, deep-fried slop.

Pho Tien is in the Market Basket shopping center on Nelson. The roasted chicken pho is one of my favorite things in this town. so simple but good.
Taste rite is in the shoprite on Oppelousas street off I-10, wish it was in a better spot, the food is good, but the neighborhood is sketchy at best and so damn far from everything
eta: Luna is overrated by the locals, but the sandwiches and salads are pretty good. everything else on the regular menu can be pretty "meh". but the brunch stuff I've had has been damn tasty

Make the worst Pad Thai ever, though.

He said Viet Tien though, thought this was a new place.
ETA: The place I'm thinking of on 171 is Pho Saigon. Pretty good reviews on Yelp. I'll have to try it out. Most of the reviews mention how clean it is (because Pho Tien is dirty).
