The reason why I don't drink is not for religious reasons and although I was raised that way, I don't necessarily think that drinking is a sin nor do I think less of people that do.

I don't need to drink to have fun, it's an expensive habit and I just don't want to drink...just like some people don't want to smoke, or dance, or play video games or any other random activities that people don't enjoy for any variety of reasons. I am more interested in other things, and like just about every other person on the planet, some of my closest friends have similar interests.

Apologies if I'm doing it wrong.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Okay, in all seriousness, what activities will this bachelor party most likely consist of?

We're going to NOLA Motorsports and then to eat. That's all.

OP- How was New Orleans chosen as the destination? Was it all the museums, or the beautiful scenery?

Great place and probably my favorite chicken and sausage gumbo that I've had in a restaurant

We're all pretty busy so we needed something close that had something fun to do that we had never done before, so we decided on the karts at NOLA M. Since we were going to be there and we're all pretty familiar with BR, we were looking for somewhere to eat in New Orleans that we wouldn't usually otherwise go to, which is pretty much anywhere.

A table for 15 at 9:00 on Friday will be impossible at Cochon, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Well he seemed to insinuate in his original post that it was possible. It doesn't seem possible to me, but hey, whatever.

Domenica and Atchafalaya are also both excellent suggestions.

Take a look at open table.com. Might be helpful.
Go where you can get a reservation. Otherwise, you'll be waiting a long time possibly.
Pickens may be slim.
Love Domenica. Would be a good place for y'all. Lebanon might work also as suggested.

I only said Cochon was a possibility because they were open pretty late. I have no idea how quickly they book up. Sounds to me like they're probably already full.

Domenica looked promising but they just told me they're full up too. Lebanon closes at 10 so I don't think they would appreciate 15 dudes showing up at 9:30.

This is a good answer.

As Blackened Out said, you won't be making great friends with serving the staff by not ordering a drop of alcohol, but this place is nicely accommodating for a party that size.

This is your best option. Restaurants will be full this time of the year on a Saturday, so you need to just start by searching on that website for what places have space.
Might have to break the group up into two smaller sizes as well.

I don't think Open Table allows you to make reservations for that many people. I think OP would have to call the rest.

Bayona
American Sector
Broussard's
Chophouse
Capedeville
The Grill Room,
Delmonico,
Dijon, Luke,
Pascal's Manale
Ralph's on the park
Red Maple restaurant
RioMar
Tomas Bistro
Red Gravy
One Restaurant Lounge

all have openings for a nine-top. Go to Opentable and make a reservation. Any place is going to want one to expect nine people.

American Sector may be a good choice, as it's a John Besh restaurant with inexpensive meals.
Menu (pdf)

RioMar is a very good Spanish and Latin Seafood restaurant. LINK

Ralph's on the Park is good as well, and is on City Park ave. LINK

Nothing I listed is a chain.

Changing my mind.

I think your group should go more casual.

Deanies Seafood. You boys can stuff yourselves at a reasonable price. I would think they would easily be able to accomidate your #.

You could, in theory, go to a place like Bacchanal early, not buy any wine, and just get small plates and I think they sell sodas and water in the wine shop. It would be odd and pretty pointless, but thats a good spot for a large group if you get there early enough and don't mind a place that is outdoors.

You can also go to places that are open relatively late that do NOT have reservations, like Ancora, Rumhouse, etc...and just wait until you get a table. Which will be a long time.
