Headed to Dallas later next week and wanted to try a new Japanese restaurant.

Have already been to Tei An, Tei Tei Robata, and Sushi Sake in Richardson before.

Wondering if anyone had any info on these places that looked interesting on Yelp:

Uchi
Shiawase
Fujiyama

TIA

Uchi has gone downhill. They have a place upstairs called top knot that is better. My go-to sushi in Dallas is Teppo. It's a small place on lower Greenville that is really good.

Deep Sushi, in Deep Ellum is my go to. It may not be the fanciest, but I compare the rest to Deep Sushi and I'm always happiest at Deep Sushi.

Had a meal at Uchi a month ago that was absolutely faboulous. I'm not sure if you went on an off night but I definitely don't think it is going downhill.

It's not a cheap meal AT ALL though, if that matters.

I'll second Deep Sushi and Teppo as solid options as well.

I really liked Sushi Bayashi in Trinity Groves. I went with a big group and we got 2 boats of sushi. It was awesome.

I love Fujiyama, but it definitely isn't the fancy level of the aforementioned sushi places.

Deep Sushi (mentioned above) is definitely good. A little pricey, but good.

Sushi Bayashi's poke bowl is awesome. I haven't had a ton of their sushi.

Solid but a warning to avoid the patio. Flies like raw fish too.
