What's the rating verdict on here of Terrapin Hopsecutioner? I think it's pretty damn good and I can find at most of my local stores.

It's not bad. I mean, it could boil down to personal preference and all that, but unless it's on sale, there are usually better IPA options on the shelf next to it. Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, etc..

Turbodog is actually a good brown and probably the best of abita 12oz lineup

False. There's no such thing as a good brown ale. No, not even NOLA.

People who like brown ales don't know what they want in beer, or in life. Do they want a pale ale, do they want a sweeter but not as bitter stout? Brown ales are the middle of the road nothings of the beer world.

I love a good brown ale for breakfast at the camp, but I'm an jackass.

That's what imperial stouts are for. Kick start the buzz and the blood sugar.

abita amber is a fine everyday beer
abita restoration is a fine pale
abita seersucker is a fine pils
all of the abita harvest beers are fine examples of their category

everything that abita brews is fine, well above the macro brews in quality & taste, are readily available without cloak & dagger machinations and are priced right

i'd be OK with it if all i could drink from now on was abita. there are better beers everywhere, but abita is fine and i think underappreciated but certainly not under the radar

Imperial stouts are for when I get back from that early morning fish. I like a light flavorful brown to wash down my cinnamon toast crunch.

If I skip the toast crunch I prefer just a citrusy boat drink.

Ain't that the truth.

Abita makes a fine line of gateway beers.
