Ever hear of overhead? Just wondering if they can make it with all of the new competition coming in. It is easily the weakest link in the area.

im just saying, all 3 phases(walk ons, happys, and upstairs) of walk ons is jammed packed on gameday. Like sardine packed.

i dont think they'll lose business to any of those places. Most which are restaurants not really geared to watching games

Damn near everyone thought they were gonna fail at the location. They are doing quite the opposite

It is a shame that both Manning's and Walk On's have such shitty food. I had high hopes for Manning's at least.

Funny quote from Brett Anderson's Walk On's review when it opened:

quote:

The cook who blanketed my shrimp “alfredeaux” in seasoning blend seemed to have mistaken the spice for powdered sugar and the pasta for beignets.

Manning sucks. I'd rather go to Hooters on the Westbank.

Not at all. I've given Manning's multiple chances. It disappoints each and every visit. I really wanted to like it and have been back several times with an open mind. They run a leaky, leaky ship.

You ever make it over to Keife & Co.? Seems like it's very close proximity to your new place. My favorite wine shop in the city. Those guys are great.

Excited about the bar and draft. I hope the beer isn't expensive like the burger

I always thought their prices were pretty normal as far as non-fast food burgers are concerned.

I never realized that area had a name.

It's a pretty cool area, excited about the growth there.

Is anyone buying up these condos?

I can't imagine there are enough people (with money) still looking for a place in the CBD?

It's amazing how many people are buying up places in the area. Site unseen over the phone. People want that culture.

I think the majority of the places are rentals. I browsed the website and their prices are in line with the luxury apartments in the area ($1500-$2500). There are going to be 700 apartments when complete. I think it'll fill up, it's really close to the whd, which is super popular, also they look to have nice amenities and finishes.
