Is he coming down 287 through Wichita Falls/Fort Worth? If so, there are a couple of beer stores with easy exits in DFW where he can also grab some Texas hammers for you.

I got him a room n Mesquite to crash tonite.... Made a run n Houston recently, and will be in Dallas next week. Only gonna ask him to snag some CO area beers...Incan handle TX! Will ask for recommendations on that later tho!

might as well get Abita amber....
It is GABF time so we have Bells, CCB, and a few others that we don't normally get on shelves here. We have too many to list but there is a ton of stuff out here right now that is great. You know what kind of beers you like, have him go to a store and ask about those styles.

i did give suggestions though and didn't poke fun at the fact that someone else recommended Coors...
i haven't lived in Co since 2004, so i assume the culture has changed a ton since, bc it was in rapid mode when i left.
the ones i suggested are classics, like Amber for that matter. God forbid his son drives him a farmhouse aged Brett funkadelic shitbomb peach Twinkie corked double magnum, and he doesn't like it... just seems like a waste, not to mention expensive.

Be careful, sometimes the beer guy will try to steer him towards some shelf turds that he's trying to get rid of...
If the beer guy tries to steer you towards New Belgium and doesn't try to sell you Crooked Stave, then I would be leary of taking his recommendations...
