We've been buying Community Coffee at work, and of course I love it but I was thinking about buying some different kinds and trying them out.
What would you recommend?

Dunkin Donuts Coffee is good.
Also get a french press.. Its a whole other world of coffee. There are flavors you just dont get from a coffee maker.

Dunkin Donuts makes good coffee. I hate their donuts, but the coffee is very good.

For stuff you'd have to have shipped to you, I think Stumptown is the best, hands down.

I hear Dunkin Donuts is great coffee.. Northeastern friends all love it... I'm gonna have to try it.. I hear the DD Vanilla is pretty good.
I like PJ's Windsor Court Blend. I get the whole bean and grind em fresh.
Also, community coffee dark roast, whole bean is more flavorful than the ground.. You may be surprised at how good the whole bean tastes when ground fresh..

8 o'clock is what we have been drinking and it is a huge improvement over community. also tried dunkin donuts and it was equally enjoyed.

how much does River Road go for in the stores?

River Road is similar in price to Community, and way better in my opinion

Get a Capresso or Technoworm brewer and a good grinder. You'll probably spend about $300 for this setup, but you'll never need to buy overpriced coffeee again either.

Try some of the mild starbucks beans.
Half of what I drink daily is from the work pot and it is yucky community coffee and chicory.
I have been given Stumptown beans recently and loved that product. I have found some of the stuff at Whole Foods to be very good too as most of them roast their beans on site.
Don't think I will turn my nose up at a good pot of community, but I have learned to like other stuff.

A little off topic, anyone know anyplace in N.O. to buy freshly, as in on site, roasted beans?
