WTFU coffee

Picked up some of this stuff once in the French Market in Nola. Not too bad, IMO.

I don't drink anything specific. At my office, they have Community Medium Roast.. just traditional blend.

The brand of coffee isn't nearly as important as the manner in which it's prepared. That's probably irrelevant though since you're asking about an office environment

Community is not good coffee. I would rank it one place above Folgers. Buy fresh roasted beans from Whole Foods or your local bean roaster. You can have them grind it for you. It will be more expensive but it will be like buying pizza from Dominos (community) vs. an italian joint in NYC.

Where I used to work, we would buy cheap Folgers and mix it 50-50 with expensive Wholefoods coffee. It was much better than just the cheap stuff.

+1, people try to defend the shite, but it taste like they use cigarettes to roast the beans.

Community is all about tradition for most people. It is what their parents and maybe grandparents drank and 75% of their neighbors.

If you ask anyone who is in the business they will flat out tell you, that Community is among the lower tiers of coffee. They don't source good beans and their stuff since stacked on pallets in warehouses too long after it is packaged.

Like with all things though, if you like it, drink up. It's not gross or anything like that.

i call bullshite with this, what people are you referring to. i worked at the plant for 10 yrs. that's crap about the beans, they purchase only arabica beans, if you know what that means. their cafe special is some of the best coffee packaged.

Read up on it. It is not that complicated.

My sister in law was a coffee buyer for several years with a big company. She traveled the world visiting the growers, etc. Lots of tastings and stuff went into their oppinions on these matters, it isn't just some made up BS. They mingle alot with other folks in the industry and Community is not that highly thought of in the coffee world.
