What is the best steak seasoning to use? Like a lot of flavor, usually grill sirloins and ribeyes. I've used a variety in the past, but want some thoughts on the best seasoning.

In addition to salt and pepper, I like garlic powder as well.

Also like a good jerk marinated ribeye to change it up a little

Italian dressing. Marinate steak in it for 24 to 48 hours. Sear on hot skillet for 6 minutes a side, then microwave on high for 4 minutes.

I'd never put steak seasoning on a good steak, but for lesser cuts of beef Montreal Steak Seasoning is good. There are lots of brands out there. McCormick is easy to find and is a good example.

McCormick makes a good steakhouse seasoning grinder. Pretty sure it's just salt, pepper and garlic but it's tasty.

Weber Chicago Steak seasoning is mostly s&p, with a few other spices that give it the edge over s&p for me.

I eat them different every time it seems.

I like the Montreal Steak Seasoning.

When I use only salt and pepper, I herb my butter with garlic, chives, or fresh thyme.

Sometimes when I grill out, I will make a basting sauce of butter, soy, garlic powder, and a little onion powder. It keeps the flames licking the steak, but it complements the smoke in the flavor category.

Whatever you enjoy, do that. It's your steak.
