In laws coming to town this weekend from Georgia and they want raw oysters.
I had some in Daphne last weekend for $12.95 for a bakers dozen and they were big and salty but I keep seeing them for $20 a dozen around here.

The question should be the best raw oysters for what price. The best are P&J unwashed at P&J in the quarter without doubt!!

Luke's happy hour may be your best bet.

Had some huge ones at Cooter Browns the other day for $15 a dozen. They were almost too big. I'd imagine oysters are good just about anywhere now if Cooters had gangsta fatties.

If you go a short ways up St. Charles (could take the street car) The Blind Pelican has 25 cent oysters everyday from 4-8 I believe.

Never been, but hear others talk about it.

I tiny bit into Metairie, cafe b has $0.50 oysters at ther bar from 3-close basically every night. Also included is half off cocktails, glasses of wine, and some beers IIRC. I'm not sure I've seen a better deal at a restaurant of that caliber.

Their website says they still do 25 cent oysters. I need to get there.

Basin on Magazine also does 50 cent happy hour oysters.

Blind Pelican has served me some of the nasty oysters I've ever had.

Cooter Brown's, but they aren't the best. Why not get the best at Casamento's?

Those would be Rocky Mountain Oysters? Completely different from what I understand.

The best oysters I've had all season were at Casamento's. Second best is Harbor in Kenner.

Haven't been to Cafe B lately... that sounds solid.

Went to casamentos last night at 5:30 and they were good. Got a dozen raw for $14 although their website says $12 a dozen.

Still always find the old redheaded broad has an attitude every time I'm in there.

Went to felix's today and they were 14.95 a dozen. They were huge...almost too big for raw. Found a small pearl in one and it was about perfect.
