I know it's a chain but I liked Goode company when I lived in Houston.
Other than that I like my own.

Probably Franklin. When I lived in Memphis my favorites were Rendezvous and BBQ shop though.

Corky's on Poplar 15 to 20 years ago served as good a slab of ribs as will ever be made in a restaurant .
Bodacious BBQ at the second Kilgore exit (the old log cabin location) had awesome brisket and chopped beef.
Jack's Stack in Kansas City serves a helluva beef rib.
The lamb ribs at Rendezvous in Memphis are a "go to" dish, and clearly the best item they serve.

Kreuz's in Lockhart, TX (no sauce in the joint).
Black's and Smitty's were very good as well.
Swig and Swine Charleston, SC was good except for brisket.

Smitty's in Lockhart, TX for brisket. J Meuller's in Austin is a very close 2nd for brisket.
Stanley's in Tyler, TX for pork ribs.
Black's in Lockhart, TX for beef ribs.
Honorable mention for brisket is Lockhart's in Dallas. They also serve a mighty fine smoked chicken.
Lastly, Peg Leg Porkers in Nashville - don't understand the hype. Bland at best. Or maybe I am just used to great Texas BBQ?

Fatt Matt's was disgusting.
Fox Brothers is the best I've ever had. Sure it's not the best around, but to answer the question literally, I have yet to have better.
