Best Mexican (Not Manuel's)

Decent yet affordable Steak House (Oxymoron, I know)

Torchy's is too salty. I prefer Taco Deli, but they're only open during lunch. The food trucks are pretty good.

Maria's Taco Xpress on South Lamar is the best Mexican in the city. Get the barbacoa.

Austin really isn't a very good food town, though. I don't miss a single thing since moving from there.

Thanks all! I tried to hit Torchy's on Guadeloupe but it was closed?

A couple of the other places wouldn't come up on my outdated Tom Tom software. Will try to hit them tomorrow.

Special Thanks to dude who took time out his day to make a negative comment. You were doubly helpful.

Fonda San Miguel is the best Mex.
La Condesa is the best Mex downtown.
Guerros on S Congress isnt bad. It's affordable.
I think Wink is the best restaurant period, but it's $$$$

I just got back, the amount of food trucks surprised me.

Sadly I was not in charge of picking anything.

Other than Louie Miller BBQ in the suburb of Taylor, we ate at chain BS.

Finally made it to Torchy's today. Wow! Great Stuff. Had the Green Chilli and Pork, and the Brisket Taco's. Both were excellent. Mexican Coke is always a plus too. Thanks for the reccomendation. I'll definitely be hitting that again.
