re: Shun vs. Wüsthof - CrocsWithSocks
I have a Shun, Wusthoff, Henckel, and a Global. I rarely use them. 95% of the time I use my $25 Victorinox 8 inch. The other 5% of the time I use the other ones out just out of guilt. Personally I find that the Victorinox is just sharper. It loses its edge rather quickly, but a quic...

re: Mo Isom makes 53 yarder in practice? - CrocsWithSocks
I want her to make the team and les makes the mistake to actually put her in the game on a kickoff. Then she can see why it's male only when she gets hit by a 6'2 230 lb beast running a sub 4.6 looking for an easy highlight reel.
Mo would frick him up :geauxtigers:...

A girl kicking the winning FG against Bama would go a long ways toward making me forget about 1/9. That would be epic. Go Mo :geauxtigers:...

re: New Orleans vs. Houston - CrocsWithSocks
Houston (inner loop) is not nearly as cool as inner loopers pretend, but it might be cooler than you think. But as far as culture, food, "community," etc... it's not even a competition (to be fair, most cities in the US cannot compete with Nola in that regard). If you want the suburban lif...

re: What's the most beautiful place on Earth (nature)? - CrocsWithSocks
Of all the places I've been, I have to say Banff/Lake Louise, Canada Runners up: Versailles Gardens Neuschwanstein Castle, in the Bavarian region of Germany (Bavaria as a whole has to be the most stunning area in the wo...

re: Grammar cops - which of these is correct? - CrocsWithSocks
Me. "Myself" is only used when you are doing something to..well...yourself. Ex) I wash myself. I gave myself a bath. I hit myself. I mailed a copy of the letter to myself. You cannot do something to myself, and I cannot do anything to yourself. You do something to me, and...

re: Milk: Skim, 1%, 2%, or Whole? - CrocsWithSocks
Milk: Skim, 1%, 2%, or Whole? I don't drink milk very often, but when I do I settle for nothing less than creamline milk, and not just because it tastes infinitely better. It's the closest thing to real milk that you can buy - the only thing separating it from raw milk is pasteurization, an...

re: New NCAA Academic Standards - How bad is this going to hurt us? - CrocsWithSocks
Regardless of whether it hurts us or the SEC, this is a good thing. We need to be making sure these kids are getting educated. I know not everyone is above average (or even average), but there are certain minimum standards that all these kids could meet but currently aren't....

re: Hot Pocket Advice - CrocsWithSocks
Bite a little off of one corner and then bite a little off of the other corner on the opposite side (i.e. if your hot pocket was a car we'd open the driver's side window and the back right passenger window). Next, wrap your lips around the hot, flaky hole and gently blow cool air through the ho...

re: Pork Belly Recipes - CrocsWithSocks
Score the fat with a sharp knife ( cut criss crossing slits along the entire length) Rub with salt and pepper Put in a hot arse oven for about 45 minutes then crank the heat down to 300 or so for another hour, maybe longer. Goes great over root scallopped potatoes. Pork fat:drool:...
