I will be in Austin on Thursday. Is there any decent place to get Beef Rib and Brisket without wait. I’m expecting zero places. I’m hoping for suggestions

Agreed. And it might have been a one-off, but when I went to Terry Black's at lunchtime on a Sunday, my total time in line was ~45 minutes. I didn't do any sort of early hours lineup deal, nor did I spend hours in line.

Terry Blacks is great. Go to La BBQ though. Best brisket in Austin and no wait.

Loro’s partner is Franklin and it’s legit.

Great menu and some Asian infused BBQ as well.

Thank you all. Might check out Terry Black. I wasn't going to even try Franklin. Interstellar was on my list but worried about wait.

We are having get together with my High school friends from India in the Hill country. Only two of us eat everything.

Try Valentina’s…. It’s great and probably less of a wait.

Or you can make a little ride down to Lockhart and get you some Smittys.

First three suggestions are Terry Black’s

One nice thing about Covid was all those joints started doing online ordering and curbside pickup. Haven’t been back that way in a couple of years so not sure if they’re still doing that.

Ate there about a year ago. Very little wait and everything was perfect. Also, had about a 20 minute talk with Warren (was manning the smokers). Very nice guy.

Can also vouch for LA BBQ (but guessing they'll have some lines) and Terry Black's (how they crank out that volume of BBQ at that high a level is very impressive).

Mickelwaith's (sp) was underwhelming. Never been to Franklin's.

Another vote for Terry Black’s. I was there today a little bit before noon and walked right up to the counter. That brisket was every bit as good as Franklin’s. Good pinto beans too.

Valentina’s
Terry blacks

If you don’t mind driving 35 minutes, Louis Muellers in a Taylor is my favorite in the area.

Of all the places BBQ places I have been to in Texas, Smitty's is my # 1 for brisket.

It's interesting bbq, but far from the best I've ever had.

Nothing like walking into the door and inhaling a big whiff of smoke from the burning wood 3 inches from your leg.

Valentina's is probably my favorite BBQ place in Austin. Unfortunately, it recently moved to Buda, TX.
