Arse's Fatty Rewind™ (Beau Rivage edition)

It was quite the relaxing weekend in Biloxi. I grabbed a Beam and headed out the door.
The ride was quick. We checked in and poured some drinks. I didn't have regular Beam at the house, but I found some single barrel. My view of the marina was nice. It would be nice for them to re-open it.
My friend's room had a nice view of the new stadium. It was their opening series. People were wearing Shuckers gear all over town. I was unable to get any tickets, but I'm looking forward to it on my next visit.
After several drinks, we made our way to dinner. We went to Jia. I grabbed a Tsingtao and reviewed the menu.
I ordered some lettuce wraps, beef skewers, dumplings and a sushi roll with spicy tuna on top. The meal was very good, and the service was great. The lettuce wraps were very good, and the chili sauce that accompanied them was spicy.
After dinner, I played some poker and pounded the free Beams. Their pours had a bit too much soda for me.
After gambling, we watched a band at the bar by the elevators. I found some beer that reminded me of my mom.
Some Auburn fan was making it rain ones for some reason. I didn't see any strippers, male or female. I guess he just liked shitty casino music.
After the band stopped, I retired to the room. I awoke early in preparations of game day. I started to pound around 8. They had some fellahs catching trout.
I needed a base, so I went to the coffee shop and got a sausage and egg biscuit. The biscuit was okay. It seemed to not be homemade, but came with a lot of butter on top.
I hit the tables and continued to drink. Around lunch, we tried to go to lunch at the golf course. Unfortunately, we didn't have a tee time, so they couldn't get us in.
We went to the Shed. I had never been before, and don't think my return will be necessary.
I grabbed an Old Milwaukee and their platter.
The meat was covered in sauce. I couldn't taste much of the meat flavors. The pork and beef tasted similar. I guess if you cover Chicken's sphincter in sauce, it would be decent. I was not of fan.
The macaroni was very bland too. I had to add pepper and some tabasco pepper vinegar to make it better.
I left a few marks behind.

After lunch, we went to the Golden Nugget to walk around the fishing tournament set up. The Nugget is not impressive.
We returned to the hotel to pound and watch the Belmont and batting practice. My friend brought some run and I indulged. Here's the start to the Triple Crown.
The drinking would not end. We went to a bar to watch some of the LSU game. I grabbed a Beam and shot the shite with a few people from the Lafayette area. They were rooting for the Tigers.
Some baw was going to town on some delicious looking nachos beneath me.
I was running my mouth and people kept buying me drinks.
We had dinner reservations at BR Prime. One the way out, some good old baw got me a pint of Beam. I was happy.
For dinner we grabbed a bottle of wine. I ordered a caesar salad with anchovies, seared scallops and a delmonico ribeye. Everything was outstanding. This was my favorite meal of the weekend.
Several at the table ordered a crab salad. The lump crab meat on them were outrageous. This piece was given to me and deserved its own shot.
After dinner, we returned to the tables and the bar from the night before. Auburn boy was still there!
On Sunday, I went to the coffee shop and grabbed a cinnamon roll. I needed to get my body ready for the pool.
It was a warm morning, and I needed a beer. The guy behind the bar told me he had a 32 oz draft. I took it.
After a misunderstanding, they figured out who I was and upgraded me to the poolside.
After a few beers, I ordered some chips and french onion dip. They were tasty, but I would have preferred Ruffles.
After a few laps, my hunger came back. I ordered a Cuban and it was delicious. However, I must say, I was confused by the addition of bacon to the sandwich.
After lunch, I showered and hit the floors.
For dinner, we went to a bar that had on the game. I grabbed some fajitas and a pizza to share. They were edible.
The toilet took a beating this morning.
Stay fat, my friends.

Great work as usual.
I've never been impressed with the Shed. Although the owners are great at getting publicity for themselves -- they've been on a bunch of Food Network shows, probably because they're young and good looking.

The Shed does suck. You should have asked the F&DB's opinion before going.

I have to agree about the Shed. Not impressed at all. Stopped last year on our way to Destin and would not go back.

E view the Shed as one of those places you go for 70% location/people watching/drinking and 30% "oh hell, they serve food? OK then. I will eat when I am drunk."
If you expect that, it isn't so bad.

"Tigerdroppings was here"...AWESOME dude, I love it.
Also, I've been to that same bar at the Beau, and people were throwing $1 bills all over the place while the band was playing.
What's the deal with that? It's trashy to pick them up right?

Meh on the Shed...
My Air Force buddies thought it was the shite, but they were not from around these parts.

They used the term "seared" scallops very loosely.

Did you ask that baw for a taste of his nachos?

I didn't partake in those festivities. The lines looked long.

shite man, y'all passed up the coolest place on it. BSL has better offerings, outside of everything but food and drink.
The drive up/down old 90 through the Rigolets is must when visiting the coast.

I was at laffite's Saturday in hopes if spotting you. Beau Rivage weekend explains it all. Looks like another good weekend!
