I'ven been three times and it's really enjoyable, right on Houma and easy to get to. I had an Indian customer put me on it. I'm a selectarian right now, so eating mostly vegitarian, but today I had the Tikka Masala and it was amazing. Even more amazing is lunch drink and tip will cost you less than $15.

Really good food, the employees are really friendly and I like the punjabi and Pakastani offerings.

I really love the Palak Paneer and the chana masala. I could eat those every day.

It's funny, I had one post about how I couldn't find a spot on Freret to park for Liberty Steaks and now I never live it down.

Oh well.

sorry to hear that. Never got the lamb from there. For good lamb, try shish-ka-bob house on Williams. They never do me wrong, they get it from Kased bros next door.

It's good too. I almost went there the other day. I think I like Shyans more. The issue with Nola Desi is it's by Shish ka Bob and Little Chinatown and I really like those places a lot, then on the other side the street is Pollos la Braza and Mi Pueblito. So when I go to that area of Kenner it's easy for me to forget Desi.
Plus I hardly ever am in Kenner for lunch.

FWIW it was a combo of that and all your other stories about parking around the city, i.e. your magnet over the license plate.

Those pics look good. I want to check that place out.

Another possibility for you Metairie folks. There's a convenience store on clearview and belle, with Indian owners, that sells dishes from the homeland. I've not been but a trusted family members says a few items he's tried were excellent. Also, it's basically free.

Anyone know the place? Think it was an old 7-11.

Tried it a couple a months ago. It was only ok imo. Most everything tasted like it came out of a can
