Any other wine geeks out there?

Got an '05 Vieux Chateau Certan I want to open soon along with an '02 Don Melchor that I'm sure will be fantastic. Both still relatively young, but I haven't had anything that knocked my socks off in a while.
Had an '05 Giscours a few months ago which was very nice, but could have cellared a few more years.
what y'all got?

Went to Biltmore Estates for a tour and wine tasting. Honestly none of it blew me away but all of it was very good wine, and they had a very wide selection. My favorite of them all was the syrah.
The 2nd tasting was at a little 'craft' winery/vineyard in Georgia. All of their grapes are hybrids that can grow in the climate, and most of their stuff was pretty good. Unlike any other wines I've had. Crane Creek.

yeah, soil pH is too low to grow good vinifera in most of the south till you get to central texas. but i've had some damn good hybrid wine.
used to work at a wine store in college and one lady would order biltmore wines through us. never tried it, but she swore by em.

I have been on a 2013 Columbia Valley Cabernet kick lately.
I have found some very drinkable inexpensive wines out of there. Very smooth to start, not too fruity, that finish strong with a nice aftertaste.
Hard to beat daily drinker

Yes. Up to now I've been more into Italian wines. A buddy is heading to Italy on Friday and already has an order from me for a couple of cases. One is a Chianti Classico Riserva and the other is a Super Tuscan.
Lately, I've been getting into Pinot Noir more so I'll probably get a little more into French wine. We also have a trip planned with friends to Napa Valley November 9th-14th that we are excited about.

I don't really drink Pinot. I love Zinfandel though
Not sure what you consider affordable, but this is my friends vineyard. He is a retired doctor from NOLA, who moved out to his vineyard full-time rather than rebuild after Katrina. His Zins are incredible.
I make sure to have a few bottle of his Old Vine Zin and Estate Zin on hand at all times

I've had some pretty good Arizona wines. Never knew they had much of a wine industry.
